The 8th of July has been chosen as this is the start of the Celtic Month of the Holly Tree. In Celtic mythology, the Holly Tree was the evergreen twin of the Oak Tree. It was believed that the Holly Tree helped restore lost energy and helped bestow the strength needed to continue towards a new resolution. The Holly tree was a very sacred tree to the Druids, it was a strong and protective tree and often people would bring some leaves into their home to protect it from evil.
The walk is approximately 40 mins casual walk and suitable for most children over 2 years.
Your own Teddy, who is more than welcome on the picnic and walk, if you like.
