About Trudy
ABOUT ME
Meet Trudy
Often described as ‘knowledgeable, flexible, delightfully funny and easy going’ this ‘darling Irish gal full of smiles and stories’ makes your memorable Irish experience her business. With big city roots, Trudy was born in the capital city of Dublin but over the years has moved herself to more rural locations, first to a village in the ‘Garden County’ of Wicklow and later to County Laois in the midlands.
Through her lived experience, tourism career and genealogy expertise Trudy has come to love welcoming people to Ireland. She creates bespoke tours through her business Experiencing Ireland.
Tapping into her extensive network of local contacts Trudy gives the passengers in her luxury vehicle, an authentic Irish experience. Sharing her ‘deep knowledge and love of Irish history and culture’ as she navigates the often narrow and winding roads of the Irish countryside, taking you to unique destinations large tour buses don’t reach.
Her passion for genealogy has led to some wonderful trips ‘back home’ for American families. Many take the voyage back across the Atlantic to find their ancestral homes and long-lost relatives as they visit the communities their ancestors left behind and experience the communities that grew in their absence.
